Quality is a way of life at FIBC Lanka starting with the receiving of raw materials through production and shipping of finished product to the customer.
Each production at our facility has its own Specification, and to specify the tests required to pass the Quality Assurance process, there is a Detailed Quality Assurance Specification that details the frequency and kind of sampling at each operation. Quality Assurance Test Procedures relate in detail to how the tests are conducted. All methods were developed through the efforts of the FIBC Lanka Technical staff and where appropriate, in conjunction with our customer.
Visual inspections are carried out during set-up and throughout the converting process by the machine operators and shift supervisors. Product-specific test schedules are in place at various stages of production and are carried out by the operators. More rigorous testing takes place in our in-house laboratory.
Tapes, Webbing, and Fabric are needed to have the required strengths for the sales performance of the FIBCs. Thus, computerized tensile testers are used to test every lot's components' tensile and breaking strength.
The first bag for every order and randomly selected bags from the daily lot are continually load tested on our 4 Load Cell Test Rig. The Safe Working Load of the bags is tested for 5, 6, or 8 times.
A critical equipment needed in the FIBC manufacturing processes is metal detectors to control the quality. Metal detectors are installed in the facility to prevent any kind of metal contamination in the product.
